A Happy Home for Harry!
Harry, a sweet little Chihuahua puppy, came to HART at just five months old with his sister, Hermione, after their previous owner could no longer care for them.
Despite his rough start, Harry never lost his joyful spirit. In early August, he found his forever family, and it was love at first sight!
Harry’s family recently sent us an update, and it’s safe to say he has settled right in. Now known as Duncan, he has become the perfect addition to his new home.
He has some new human siblings, and they are already the best of friends. His mom shared that Duncan might even prefer the kids, she often finds him sitting side by side with them, watching TV on the couch, or curled up in their laps in the family room.
Duncan also has a few new pup siblings who welcomed him into their pack without hesitation. They eat, play, and nap together as if they’ve always been a family. His feline siblings, however, are still figuring him out, they’re not quite sure what to make of his puppy energy just yet!
He’s also been hard at work on his invisible fence training and is doing wonderfully. His family says he’s a quick learner and a very smart little guy.
Stories like Harry’s remind us why we do what we do. Seeing once-homeless pets thriving in their forever homes fills our hearts with joy.
