registered Veterinary Technician

The Level 2 Veterinary Technician has multiple responsibilities within the Bredel Clinic. The technician is responsible for scheduled Veterinary Technician appointments in addition to working closely with the veterinarians during wellness exams, surgery preparation, surgery and post-operative care. Assists in maintaining all clinic protocols regarding care of sick and well animals, animal handling, safety, and cleaning procedures, and interacts with other clinic staff and volunteers. Veterinary Technicians must be registered in Maryland.

Adoption Wing Manager

The Adoption Wing Manager oversees daily activities in the Adoption Wing to ensure all operations run smoothly. This person is responsible for training and supervising the Animal Care Attendants in the daily cleaning of the Adoption Wing, scheduling, maintaining cleaning supply inventory, creating cleaning projects as necessary, and caring for all animals staying in the Adoption Wing. In addition, this person is responsible for all intake entered into Cornerstone and for coordinating surgeries and medications with the Bredel Clinic. The person in this position has the opportunity to apply for and transition to Program Manager, supervising the Adoption Wing staff, later in the year.
