Sometimes, a little kindness can completely change an animal’s life, and that’s exactly what happened for sweet Baby!
Baby was found as a stray by some incredibly kind people who spotted him hiding in a bush along the side of the road. He had a significant wound on his chin, along with several other smaller injuries. Given the location of his injuries and the condition he was found in, we suspect Baby may have been thrown from or struck by a car. We may never know exactly what he went through, but one thing was certain: this tiny kitten needed help!
Thankfully, the people who found him didn't hesitate to step in. They rescued Baby, made sure he received emergency veterinary care, and even covered the cost of his ongoing medical treatment.
Baby also had several broken teeth that needed to be removed. Despite everything he'd been through, this little guy showed us just how resilient he could be!
When Baby first arrived, he was understandably terrified and very fearful of people. We initially wondered if he might be feral. But with a little time, patience, and a safe place to settle in, his sweet personality began to shine through.
It turned out that Baby was an absolute lovebug! He was affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when being held and loved. His sweet nature made us wonder if he may have once been someone's beloved pet.
And the best part? Baby's rescuers couldn't stop thinking about him, and we're thrilled to share that they officially adopted him in August!
We're happy to report that Baby has been settling into his new home purr-fectly! Here's a little update from Baby himself:
A Message from Baby:
"WOW! Humans are a lot of hard work. I am still very much a love bug and a purr bucket.
I'm not exactly sure what 'retirement' means, but I'm doing my part to teach my cat Dad (aka Papa) how to sit still and relax.
Sometimes, I just have to lay on his chest and take a nap to make him sit still!
I really like spending time with my cat Mom, too. She knows how to relax and gives me the best head scratches.
Sometimes, she makes an extra-big lap for me when she's reading. It's a great place to relax and snooze.
It's even better when she gets out these things called fuzzy blankets. I don't really know what they are, but they sure are comfortable and warm!
