From Homeless Puppy to Happy Home: Sage's Story
We’ve got an adoption update filled with plenty of puppy love!
Sage, an adorable Pit Bull/Rottweiler mix puppy, arrived at HART in March alongside her sister. Both girls were ready to find loving forever homes where they could grow, learn, and enjoy all the adventures puppyhood has to offer.
Sage found her perfect match in April, and we’re so happy to report that she has settled into her forever home beautifully!
Now known as Maizy Mae, this lovable girl is absolutely adored by her new family. As you can see in some of her photos, Maizy’s favorite hangout spot is hilariously underneath the coffee table! Her family says they may have to invest in a bigger table as she continues to grow.
One of Maizy’s favorite activities is chasing, and trying to catch, her own tail. Her family also shared that she is one smart pup! She is already potty trained and has been crushing her training while learning some very impressive tricks. Maizy knows sit, stay, shake, high ten, and can even play dead when her family points a finger gun and says, “Bang!”
When she’s not showing off her new skills, Maizy loves playing with her toys and bones and going for walks at the park.
She is also currently wanted throughout the tri-state area for being a notorious sock thief! Despite her criminal activities and her impressive talent for stealing socks, her family says Maizy is incredibly loving, affectionate, fun, and entertaining. Most importantly, she has been an amazing addition to their family!
We couldn’t be happier to see this deserving girl thriving in the loving home she always deserved. Stories like Maizy Mae’s remind us why we do what we do and just how life-changing adoption can be for homeless pets.
