HART Is Giving Back
Due to the success of our #GivingTuesday #FollowYourHART fundraising campaign, HART will be offering pet food and straw to those in need starting at 9 am today, 12/14. We will be doing this every weekday, for as long as supplies last.
This has been a rough year for a lot of people, and HART wants to help out those who could use a little assistance this holiday season. Straw is a great insulator and can help keep animals warm in the winter weather. And food is food, I’m sure we’re all on the same page regarding what food is.
Here’s how it works:
Starting today, 12/14, come to our HART facility and call the front desk at 301.387.7729 and let us know that you’re here to pick up either the food and/or straw that’s being offered as a donation. Someone will come out to your vehicle and will make sure you get what you need (limit 1 bale of straw and 1 bag of food per vehicle). This will be available weekdays from 9 am-5 pm as long as supplies last.
Note: We have given some of the straw to the Garrett County Animal Shelter, and they will also be giving it to those in need. If you would like to pick up straw from them instead, please contact them.
This is all possible because of the success of our #FollowYourHART #GivingTuesday fundraising efforts, so we would like to again thank all of you who assisted and/or donated for allowing us to be able to help those in need. And thanks to the Garrett County Shelter for their assistance as well.
