Adoption Story: Santo
Santo, an adorable Boxer-Coonhound mix, was one of 11 puppies in our sweet “S” litter. Alongside their devoted mom, Susie, these pups quickly stole the hearts of everyone at HART.
We’re thrilled to share that every single one of them, mom included, found their perfect forever homes! Santo was adopted in March by a wonderful family, complete with two human siblings. Now named Ritter, he’s settled in like he’s always been part of the pack.
His family recently sent us an update, and we couldn’t wait to share it with you!
Ritter has grown into a smart, affectionate, 50-pound cuddlebug who still thinks he’s a lap dog. He learned to ring a bell to go outside within his first weekend home and has already mastered his Invisible Fence. He even graduated from his first Puppy Training course at PetSmart!
Ritter loves playing outside with his siblings, going on park walks, and lounging on the deck. When his family’s busy, he entertains himself by tossing toys in the air and zooming around the house, complete with his own silly sound effects. According to his family, he’s quite the chatterbox when he’s playing, showing off an impressive vocal range. But when they’re out and about, he’s calm and quiet, always observing people and other dogs with curiosity. People-watching might just be his new favorite hobby!
Ritter’s family says he’s the perfect addition to their lives, and they couldn’t be happier.
