Mango is a seven-month-old Terrier mix puppy who arrived at HART in need of medical care and a much-deserved second chance!
Sweet Mango came to us with a broken front leg, after being surrendered because of the high cost of the extensive medical treatment needed to help her heal. She was at risk of being euthanized just due to the expense of her injury, but our team knew this sweet girl deserved a chance to heal, grow, and find a forever family!
Our Bredel Clinic team immediately got to work treating Mango! Mango received X-rays, pain medication, and a splint and a cast, and cast changes as needed, to keep her leg in place and to start the healing process. Since arriving at HART in September, she has been getting lots of love and all the medical care she needs from our Adoption Wing, Bredel Clinic, and volunteers!
Mango still has several more weeks of healing ahead of her while she wears her cast. Once her leg has fully healed, she will be able to get her spay surgery and officially begin her search for a forever family!
Many of the rescued pets who come into HART’s care arrive with serious or life-threatening medical conditions. From broken bones and bullet wounds to parvovirus and the lasting physical and psychological suffering caused by long-term abuse and neglect, these pets deserve a safe place to land and to heal.
At HART, we believe every animal deserves a chance to live, regardless of the medical challenges they face. And thanks to funds like our Mocha’s Fund, we’re able to say yes to animals like Mango who might otherwise go without the care they desperately need.
Mocha's Fund helps cover major veterinary expenses for animals in our Adoption Wing, including the treatment Mango has received for her broken leg. Since arriving in our care, Mango has already needed more than $500 in medical treatment for her injury alone!
Mocha’s fund allows us to provide lifesaving treatment for animals who arrive with serious, often life-threatening conditions. From emergency surgeries to specialized procedures like amputations and eye removals, Mocha’s Fund makes it possible to give these animals the care they need when they need it most.
Mocha’s Fund is only possible due to our generous supporters! When animals like Mango come through our doors, there’s no hesitation. We do everything we can to help them heal. But we can’t do it without you!
Please consider making a gift to Mocha’s Fund today. Your support ensures that animals like Mango receive the urgent care they need and the chance to live the life they’ve always deserved.
