Majestic Mia’s Second Chance

Meet Mia! This sweet pup arrived at HART in August after being found as a stray and sadly never claimed. With an uncertain past, Mia was understandably a little nervous and cautious as she adjusted to life with us.

After a short stay at HART, Mia found her forever home in October! We recently received an update from her new family, and we couldn’t be happier to hear how well she’s doing.

Mia’s adopters have been wonderfully patient as she navigates new experiences. She’s learning to feel comfortable around things that used to make her nervous, like cars, people, and even furry neighbors like squirrels, deer, and turkeys. Her family is helping her settle in at her own pace, and Mia is thriving in a loving, supportive environment!

Her new parents shared that Mia is an incredibly smart pup who quickly adapted to their routines. Her day starts bright and early at 5:30 for the first potty break, followed by her first walk at 7:00, and plenty more walks throughout the day!

Mia had some initial fear around crate training due to a past traumatic experience, but with proper introduction, her crate has become her safe space. She loves it, stays accident-free, and settles in for the night at 8:00. Her house training is going perfectly, and she’s truly thriving in her new home!

Full of energy and already very beloved, Mia is growing more confident every day. Her family has shared how much they appreciate the love and care she received while at HART and are so grateful to have her in their lives.

Mia’s journey is a beautiful reminder that every pet deserves a second chance. Thanks to the dedication of HART and her amazing adopters, Mia is now living her best life!
