Some pets are simply worth the wait, and Sara, a gorgeous tricolored Coonhound, proved just that. After spending three months in our Adoption Wing, this gentle girl finally found her perfect match in August!

Today, Sara is thriving in her forever home, and her new family recently shared the sweetest update: she’s living her absolute best life!

Now known as Jolene, she’s settled in beautifully and has become a cherished member of the family. Her adopters say she’s adjusted wonderfully and fits right in, bringing joy, laughs, and plenty of tail wags into their home.

Jolene has discovered a love for outings, especially trips to Lowe’s and Tractor Supply, where she gets to explore, sniff, and soak up all the attention. And while she’s an adventurous girl, there’s one thing she’s not a fan of: rain! Her family even got her an adorable rain jacket to keep her cozy on wet-weather days, which only adds to her charm.

This holiday season is extra special for Jolene and her family, as she gets ready to celebrate her very first Christmas in a warm, loving home. She is adored, protected, and loved, just as every pet deserves to be.
