A Forever Home for Two!

After patiently waiting months in our Cattery for the right family to come along, two special needs cats, Freda Pearl and Fergus, finally found the forever home they deserved! These sweet cats were adopted in April, and the best part is, they were adopted together!

Freda Pearl, now lovingly known as Nezza, is a sweet senior cat with a gentle soul and so much love to give. Before arriving at HART, she had spent her life as an outdoor cat. During her stay with us, she received a much-needed dental procedure to remove several rotten teeth and help her feel her very best before finding a family of her own.

While Nezza was initially a shy girl in our care, her adopter shared that she has truly blossomed since going home. She now enjoys cuddles, playtime, and spending time with her new furry brother, Fergus. The two have become the very best of friends!

Fergus first came to HART as a young kitten. This playful boy had a slight balance issue that gave him an adorable little wobble, but it never stopped him from enjoying life to the fullest. Since being adopted, his wobble has mostly resolved itself, and his adopter now only notices it occasionally, usually after he wakes up from a nap!

Stories like Nezza and Fergus’ remind us of the incredible impact adoption can have on pets in need. With love, patience, and compassionate care, animals who have waited so long for a second chance can finally experience the happiness of a forever home.

We are so grateful to their wonderful adopter for opening their heart and home to these deserving cats and giving them the happy ending they had been waiting for!
