TT’s Purr-fect Second Chance

TT, an eight-year-old cat, found himself in need of a new home last year after being surrendered due to serious medical issues. He was suffering from a urinary blockage and bladder stones, both life-threatening conditions that required emergency surgery. We knew this sweet boy deserved that second chance, and thanks to our Mocha’s Fund, which supports major veterinary expenses for our adoptable pets, we were able to say yes to the care he urgently needed.

When TT arrived at HART, he underwent a Perineal Urethrostomy, a procedure that helps reduce the risk of future blockages. He came through surgery with flying colors and spent time recovering in a loving foster home with one of our amazing Veterinary Assistants while he healed and prepared for adoption.

Thanks to Mocha’s Fund, TT received over $1,000 in lifesaving medical care, including surgery and medications, not to mention the daily care and support he received while in our program.

TT recovered beautifully and was soon ready for adoption! When he made his way to our Cattery, it didn’t take long for sparks to fly! One of our Animal Care Attendants, Kria, started spending time with TT, and there was a special connection from the start. Before long, TT was adopted into his forever home!

Recently, TT celebrated his one-year Gotcha Day anniversary, and we’re thrilled to share that he’s living his very best life. He now has several feline siblings and incredibly loving pet parents who adore him.

TT does remain on a special urinary diet to help prevent future issues, but otherwise, he’s happy, healthy, and thriving. You’d never know everything he’s been through! 

His mom shared something truly special: TT wasn’t the cat she originally planned to adopt. But after spending time with him, she realized he needed her. What she didn’t expect was just how much she needed him, too. Together, they’ve helped each other heal.

TT’s story is a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact of adoption, not just for the pet, but for the people who open their hearts and homes to pets in need.
