Community Trust Foundation Awards $7,000 Grant to Support HART Help!
We’re excited to share some paws-itive news! HART for Animals has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Community Trust Foundation to support our HART Help Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program!
This marks the third consecutive year that CTF has provided funding to help make spay/neuter surgeries more affordable for income-qualified pet owners in Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
HART Help provides reduced-cost spay/neuter surgeries for qualifying dogs and cats, helping families access important veterinary care while preventing unwanted litters and reducing the number of homeless animals entering shelters and rescues. In 2025 alone, HART Help provided 569 spay/neuter surgeries to pets in need. This program is just one of the ways HART works to fulfill our mission of improving the lives of animals in our community and creating a future where no pet experiences homelessness.
This generous $7,000 grant is made possible through CTF’s K&M Leonard Mindful Leadership Fund, Ray & Brenda Morriss Community Fund, Frank & Linda Lancelotta Animal Welfare Fund, Gray-C Fund, and the Fund for Garrett County.
